Teaching Discipline
| May 17, 2012 | Posted by Stitch under Mommy's Say!, MyLittleStitches |
My mum used to tell me that having babies can be easy but the journey of raising them to adults is one tough journey. I used not to understand what she meant by that, but NOW, I do.
Having our children is the greatest gift GOD has ever blessed us! It brings us a lot of laughter, smiles, relieve our stress or lifted our spirits in our “downtimes”. “Downtimes” refers to a stage of demotivated spirit, less driven stage. Personally, after a long day of work, I always feel that my energy has been drained out totally. However, the moment I see their smiles on their faces, I feel much happier despite what a bad day at work was. This situation is when the kids do not show their tantrums or clingy to us.
Recently, our children has been driving us up to crazier stages. They will take turns to cry. Cries….ugh! It is something which can drive us up the wall when we really face a bad day and all we want is a serene and calm environment. Obviously, the kids took away all that when they cry. I lost my temper quite a few times and sometimes, I will just snap at them. Of course, after a while, I felt guilty and try to make up for it.
How many of us have experience this before? Honestly speaking, sometimes, I felt that I am not a good parent at all…. What is the right way to educate them? What is the right way to discipline them? I am not someone who like to nag nor do I believe in the power of canes. I like to talk to them. When they are naughty, I would just either give them a firm look to “tell them” I mean business or talking to them in a serious tone that I do not like what they are doing.I realised that they turned a deaf ear to me. In the end, I have to resort to call for their daddy and they start to listen and behave well. Without the daddy around, they are climbing over my head and ordering me round at times.
Wanna share with me your tips to good discipline? I would love to hear from you…share in my comments section!!
My dear Danson
| May 14, 2012 | Posted by Stitch under Little Moments, MyLittleStitches |
My dearest Danson has been through a bad patch of sickness 2 weeks ago. Seeing that he finally put on weight, I felt a sense of achievement and happy for him as he looked chubbily in the photo took on last Sat. However, it is short lived.
Sigh… He is down again with bronchitis again….
hope he will recover soon as well as Avel and Danien.
Mother’s Day
| May 13, 2012 | Posted by Stitch under Mommy's Say! |
This year’s Mother’s Day passed by very fast! To me, it’s a normal day as no celebrations were specially arranged for me. My kids are still very very young, they can’t draw, they can’t sing well, they can’t buy me presents. The daddy on the other hand, have to work and by the time he came back home, he was already very tired. Not only him, but I have that weary feeling too. My bad cough has not gone away! I kept coughing like mad and I guess the phlegm just love to stick at the throat area, refused to come out.
But the day was spent with my Avel and Danson doing role playing with Chip, Big Bird, Minnie Mouse and a little rabbit. As for Danien, he was either sleeping away or woke up with drool coming out from his mouth. He is teething, albeit a little early! He is always found to have his fingers digging into his mouth. I have to keep pulling out and this little fella got frustrated in the end…..
This Weekend passed very fast! It’s Monday bluish again!!!
hope to have a good start at work tomorrow!!! Goodnight, people!
Oh! Before I forget, Happy Mother’s Day to all mummies, mummies to be! We are noble women who sacrifice a lot for our family. 妈妈,万岁!
Out of the Vox: What you doing?
| May 10, 2012 | Posted by Stitch under Out of The Vox! |
Danson has been picking up a lot of words in school these days. He can easily repeat what we have said and he finds it funny. Just yesterday, I was doing the dishes and he dashed to the kitchen and asked, “Mummy, what you doing?”- with a cheeky grin on his face.
It’s great to see him talking.
He will greet me, “Mama, good morning”, “Mama, goodnight!”, “Mama, I scare! “(When thunder is heard), “Mama, sleep”.
At times, when he played with Avel and disagreed with her, both of them will imagine taking up the phone and said ” Police, come catch Avel, she is naughty”. As usual, Avel will do likewise to him.
Need a breather

I have been busy with work, caring for the children these days that it left me no time to go online the moment I am home.
Sounds bad, right? Well,I have no choice as I swore off work the minute I knock off from work. This is to achieve a balance work-life. No matter how tired I am, the smiles on their faces just melts me (EXCEPT when they really made me angry).
Working mum woes….
Oh, just want to add that I have been surviving without a part time cleaner for 2 weeks already. She has some home matters to attend to and will not be working for the time being. Dust is settling over the TV console, hi-fi set, etc. But actually, we can settle for that. After all, we are seldom at home. I have been thinking whether should I continue with the extra help since now, I am doing most of the things with hubby’s help, of course!
*shrugs*
Danien holding his bottle
| May 10, 2012 | Posted by Stitch under Little Moments, MyLittleStitches |
Love this shot when he laid on my lap to drink milk. He finally know how to hold the milk bottle!!!
Another thing he knows how to do is turn over and lift his head up. He is such a chubby darling…love to kiss his cheeks.
Sales of Blythe
| May 4, 2012 | Posted by Stitch under Stitch Shop |
I have 2 Neo Blythes for sale! They have never been removed from the box and are in excellent condition.
They are Cassiopeia Spice and CWC Exclusive- Kiss me True. After thinking for quite some time, I decided to sell them off as I do not have the time to play with dolls anymore. Besides, it’s a waste just to hide in some shelves in a corner at home.
Cassiopeia Spice- selling at $180
The right corner of the box is slightly dented though but she is in very excellent condition. She has never been removed out of the box.
Kiss Me True- selling at $200. Never removed from box before. Her face is in excellent condition. However, there is a little mold on the surface of her skirt. I could not remove it as I have never de-boxed her.
I have another doll- Pullip Aya for sale too! If you are interested, please drop me a mail.
Thanks for looking!!!
Grumpy Little One
| May 1, 2012 | Posted by Stitch under Little Moments, Little Troubles Brew, MyLittleStitches |
The past one week, Danson was having fever which came on and off till the 3rd day which started to go up as high as 39 degrees celsius. When the temperature became high, he would be less active and would quietly sat in a corner. When the fever came down, he would go back to his old bubbly self and played with his sister or his soccer. Yeah, he is good at kicking things!!!
The ultimate came when he started to breath heavily and his fever came and visit him again which I decided to take childcare leave to take care of him. I took him to Phoenix Medical Group which is situated at Greenwich. We have been following up with Dr Lee all this while so when Danson saw him, he was not so scare at all. He went straight up to Dr Lee and demanded for sweets! What a demanding little patient!! But Dr Lee was very nice, not only he gave him sweets but also stickers…. Angry birds which Danson loves a lot.
He started Danson on antibiotics and the usual medications for phlegm, running nose.
Well, you see.. The whole family was down with flu last week, even I, the mummy got flu as well and even lost my voice. But Danson got it the worst among us. His developed into mild bronchitis.
Thank GOD that MIL agreed to take care of him as he was not allowed to go to school since he had fever. Just only yesterday, the temperature was maintained in the normal range. I am really crossing my fingers, praying hard that the fever won’t come back again…anyway he has completed his antibiotics. Well, a picture of him in his grumpy state. He can be very clingy towards me when he is sick.
Baby Danien’s 4th month milestone
| May 1, 2012 | Posted by Stitch under Little Moments, MyLittleStitches |
My Baby Danien is already 4months old. He has learnt how to turn over, lifted his head up slightly. He is always sucking his little fist and drooling at times. Saw a little white spot on his right upper gum a few days ago…. Has been cranky too. He makes a lot of noises and screams when he feels hungry and annoyed! Bad bad temper…. But he is also the first one to smile when he wakes up early in the morning. He demands a lot a lot of attention. When you don’t talk to him, he cries. But once given the attention, he starts to make little coo coo sounds as in striking a conversation with you.
